KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Kids Volunteer Coordinator will lead efforts to achieve the following objective – Grace Kids ministry will operate with a surplus of volunteer leaders discipling kids. The Grace Kids Volunteer Coordinator will specialize in Recruitment, Screening, On-boarding, Placement (assignment to a classroom in coordination with our ministry managers), and Relationships. They will be responsible for:

• Effectively contribute to, communicate, and champion the vision of Grace Church as a whole and Grace Kids ministry.
• Energize ministry through presence during live programming.
• Collaborate with the Director, Managers, Coordinators, Administrative Assistant, and Communications department regarding every aspect of disciplers (volunteers) in Grace Kids.
• Recruit and mobilize families, adults, young adults, and students through direct requests, digital communication, use of social media and a strategic annual campaign.
• Contribute to a uniform intake system for all Grace Kids volunteers from initial query through the application process, screening, onboarding and effectively handing off the new volunteer to one of our ministry managers (0-5 years or Elementary, on Sunday, Wednesday or Tuesday).
• Utilize Community Church Builder (CCB) software and Studio C to maximize targeted recruiting and “upkeep” of new and existing volunteers.
• Collaborate with and contribute to the vision for NXT Gen ministry.
• Network and explore best practices with Grace Church Chaska and coordinators from other churches locally and nationally.
• Demonstrate a reliance on God through a personal commitment to prayer, study of His Word, and expectation that God will do great things at Grace Kids.
• Collaboration with Grace Kids Staff for department-wide events and programming.
• Assist with church-wide events.
• Other duties as assigned.

SPIRITUAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

• Education preferred (not required): Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Experience preferred (not required): 2 years of experience in roles involving the key duties, responsibilities, and expectations of the position
