Hours are Monday - Friday 7- 3:30 or 8-4:30

Purpose or General Objective: To sort, hang and tag donated merchandise.

Essential Duties:

• Sort through donated goods while determining quality textile and bin to hang and seasonal merchandise to store.
• Continually hang and tag textile and maintain a level of processing performance of at least 90 pieces per hour with no more than 5% bale
• Correctly label carts and Gaylords as “SEASONAL” or “BALE”
• Ability to work productively without close supervision.
• Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all employees, participants, customers and consumers working with and for Goodwill Industries.
• Transfer Z-Racks, carts and Gaylords to the appropriate staging area within the plant
• Weigh product as directed by supervisor
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by following safety procedures and report injuries and safety hazards
• Maintain good housekeeping skills including sweeping and cleaning work area at the end of shift

Additional Duties:

• Other duties as assigned by the Charlotte Plant Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, Operations Manager, Retail Director or Vice President of Retail and Donated Goods.

Physical Requirements:

• Have the ability to bend, reach and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Have the ability to carry, push, pull, otherwise move, and organize merchandise on a regular basis. May involve use of a pallet jack.
• Ability to obtain valid forklift license.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
