Feeding South Dakota, the state's largest charitable hungry relief organization, is seeking to hire an Driver/Operations Associate-CDL Class B at its Pierre location. - $1500 HIRING BONUS!Job SummaryThe Driver/Operations Associate-CDL Class B position provides CDL straight truck driving duties across the state of South Dakota. This position also supports the organization’s program services, including duties associated with food bank programs, general warehouse duties and more.

Job Responsibilities
- Collects, transports, loads, and unloads inventory.
- Responsible for vehicle preventative maintenance including washing and cleaning.
- Maintains a safe driving record and ensures all CDL Class B license requirements are met in compliance with DOT regulations and the organization’s insurance requirements.
- Conducts operational checks on vehicles and equipment and maintains all required daily logs.
- Assists the Distribution Center Manager in warehouse organization, inventory control, quality assurance and food and non-food rotation standards.
- Accepts and receipts product donations.
- Ensures the proper storage, rotation and maintenance of frozen, refrigerated, and perishable foods and all product storage and holding areas.
- Guides agencies through the process of receiving products from the food bank as appropriate.
- Welcomes, trains, and supervises individual and volunteer groups.
- Assists with ongoing AIB audit duties.
- Assists with mobile food pantry distributions on a rotating schedule.
- Assists with various distribution center duties to include but not limited to general cleaning and organizing of distribution center, lawn care, trash and recycling.
- Completes all required training and cross training as applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CDL, Class B required.
- Two years of relevant experience in CDL, Class B straight-truck driving is desired.
- Clean and safe driving record is required.
- Inventory/warehouse experience is preferred, along with demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service.
- Starting - $20.23 per hour
- 12 Paid Holidays
