School Year (Seasonal) Part-Time | Aug 19th-June 9th | $11.50-$13.50/hr
Location: Central-Denison Elementary | Star Center Elementary

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision and guidance of the School Age Child Care & Camp Director, the Enrichment Leader is responsible for the supervision of children and execution of the Y BASE program. This is a school-year position requiring approximately 10-29 hours per week dependent on your position. This will also include School Day Out days at the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Able to be active and work with children from 3 to 12 years old in a fast-paced environment.

· Provide quality programming and serve as a role model to staff and participants.

· Demonstrate experience with early childhood and elementary education.

· Plan and prepare daily activities to engage children in meaningful learning opportunities.

· Communicate with elementary school staff with professionalism and respect.

· Adhere to all Geneva Lakes Family YMCA disciplinary policies and communicate with children on a consistent basis regarding all expectations.

· Follow Geneva Lakes Family YMCA and the elementary school’s emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all children.

· Communicate with the School Site Director and/or School Age Child Care and Camp Director regarding any emergency concerns or situations.

· Maintain a clean and well-organized work and program spaces at all times.

· Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

· Uphold and exemplify the policies and guidelines of the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA and the elementary school at all times.

· Ensure licensing compliance with Wisconsin DCF 252.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum age of 18 years old and a high school diploma.

· Have a sincere interest and ability to comprehend the needs of children to develop positive outcomes.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Must complete four Praesidium Child Abuse courses prior to start date.

· CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

· Completion of Abusive Head Trauma Prevention course.

· Must pass FBI Fingerprint Background Check prior to start date.
