The Beautiful Fairfield by Marriott Atlanta Airport South is seeking a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Tech . The purpose of the Hotel Maintenance Tech is to assure the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding the guest expectation for working order of mechanical systems. The Hotel Maintenance Tech must maintain a safe working environment throughout the hotel by providing an attractive, clean and well‐maintained property. This is a PM position with a schedule from 3pm - 11pm.

Essential Job Functions

• Conduct routine inspections of the hotel's infrastructure, including guest rooms, common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior spaces.
• Identify and address maintenance issues, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize disruptions and extend the life of equipment and systems.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the hotel management team to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

• Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a hotel or a similar environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals.
• Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
