Skilled work in the operation of moderately complex public works or sanitation equipment. Duties include performance of manual laboring tasks.
The employee will operate one or more of the following on a regular basis:
Trimmers, weed eaters, chainsaw, tractor with mower including other attachments, small dump truck, labor truck and other similar equipment with 2 axles, boom ax mower, light trucks, compactor or other similar equipment.
The employee may be assigned to operate one or more of the following equipment and machines depending on project requirement:
Backhoe, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader, large trucks, boom truck, motor grader, and/or other similar equipment.
Washes, cleans and gives routine first echelon maintenance to the equipment.
Performs manual laboring tasks as assigned such as pothole patching, shoulder repair, ditch cleaning, tree trimming, bridge repair, headwall construction and other duties.
Performs related work as required.
During emergencies, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
