Cloud Platform builds the software that makes Fullstory possible. As an Engineering Director on the team, you will lead several teams comprising a talented group of senior engineers to help Fullstory operate efficiently at scale. At tens or hundreds of thousands of requests per second, the services that power Fullstory need to be rock-solid, and our database platform needs to meet the demands of interactive analysis. Our libraries, APIs, CI, testing, and SDLC workflows need to be intuitive and a joy to work with.

While you won’t be in the code daily, the role is highly technical and you’ll have a critical voice in the direction of both our technical architecture as well as future team makeup. And with a fast-growing product and organization, there are lots of opportunities to make an impact.

Day to day you'll:

• Be responsible for the multi-region, high-scale platform that supports capturing petabytes of data in real-time for thousands of companies around the world

• Oversee our fleet of analytics databases built on top of Apache Solr

• Own and mature high-velocity SDLC tooling like CI and build pipelines

• Provide operations and architectural leadership across the engineering organization

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience managing and growing teams of senior engineers and architects

• Experience participating in technical and architectural discussions, as well as thinking at the business level

• Experience measuring and maturing operational practices

• Experience in SaaS environments (and opinions about both process and architecture)

It would be amazing if:

• You’re an engineer at heart that brings passion and skills to deliver in management

• You enjoy working with people, solving prioritization and resourcing issues, and thinking about the big picture, yet still love to dive deep with the team to tackle thorny issues

• You have experience with Google Cloud Platform
