Responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under the Senior Maintenance Technician, this role involves assisting in monitoring building system operations and performance for a Life Sciences manufacturer specializing in animal health products. Utilizes various trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC for minor maintenance duties. Training and documentation on local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be provided.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Performs assigned day-to-day light repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Escorts and hosts third-party vendors for client equipment repairs.
Reviews assigned work orders, estimating time and materials needed to complete repairs.
Assists with inspection and upkeep of building equipment systems. Inspects new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shops, and HVAC.
Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lamps.
Years’ Experience Required: 2 Education Requirements: High School Diploma, Trade School preferred Systems/Software Proficiencies: Outlook, Work Order systems Certifications: Electrical, Plumbing/HVAC certifications are nice to have Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
