Edible Production Technician

Position Summary

The Edible Production Technicians help make products for sale in stores and help represent the mission and goals of FarmaceuticalRX through attention to detail, efficiency, and care for quality products. Edible Production Technicians are responsible for making cannabis products with speed, quality, and accuracy, while adhering to FarmaceuticalRX’s standards for manufacturing. In addition to, Edible Production Technicians must consistently meet industry compliance requirements. Edible Production Technicians are an important part of the seed-to-sale chain of production and act as the bridge from garden to store, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality finished products FarmaceuticalRX can provide.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

• Performing tasks and facility maintenance as directed by the Edible Production Manager, Director and VP of Processing, including edible production, inventory management, waste management, and raw materials

• Ensure that the environmental conditions are appropriate for the processes performed, product storage and provide an environment safe from physical, chemical, and other hazards that can occur within the kitchen and facility

• Keep Safety Data Sheets up to date

• Contributing to a healthy, supportive work environment and compliant atmosphere in the Processing Department

• Ability to master and operate all equipment and processes in the edible kitchen

• Adopt and promote a high energy culture that stresses close communication and teamwork amongst kitchen staff and all departments

• Assist in creating and refining recipes and formulations for marijuana infused products

• Adapt and thrive in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

Experience infusing foods and other products required, working with cannabis oil infusion is strongly preferred.

Experience with the emulsification of food products preferred.

ServSafe Certification.

Ability to lift 50 pounds safely.

Ability to sit/stand for up to 8-10 hours

Conducting oneself professionally and with good common sense.

Familiarity with Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Board Program Rules and Regulations.

Attention to accuracy and an ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.

Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively, and professionally

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Non-Essential Functions

Ability to assist in electronic record-keeping such as Metrc.

Required:

Completed Orientation Training which include:

• Proper Handling of Cannabis, Extracts, and Marijuana Infused Products

• Proper Recordkeeping

• Anti-diversion Training, Including Zero Tolerance Policy

• Security Procedures

• Medical Emergency Response

• Fire Response

• Chemical Spill Response

• Armed Robbery/Burglary Response

• Criminal Incident Response and Reporting

• Open Door Policy

• HIPAA Training

Ability to pass criminal background check.

Ability to pass drug screening.

Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire.

Food Safety certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.

Recommended:

Experience in any relevant trades, including chemistry, engineering, food handling, etc.

Management will review the Job Analysis for this position prior to a job offer.
