The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting to enhance the accuracy of the reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and for cash and risk management.

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

• Establish processes and internal controls to safeguard company assets and to ensure accounting objectives are met. Monitor accounting operations.
• Review month-end closing presentation and related schedules for compliance with GAAP and company policy.Finalize production of periodic financial statements, supporting management reports, and analysis.
• Investigate unusual transactions and report to appropriate parties when necessary.
• Oversee accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Manage supervisors and staff accountants in the day to day operations. Communicate applicable company policies and procedures and provide training when appropriate.
• Research and implement new processes and tools to improve efficiency.

Take an active role in the evaluation and implementation of all accounting activities.

• Assist with annual financial statement audit and related inventory observation, as well as other periodic audits by insurance companies, taxing authorities, etc.
• Assist with the internal preparation of various tax filings and handle communications with external CPA firm to organize the preparation of corporate income tax returns.
• Assist with creating bank transfers/wires for all bank accounts.
• Assist with transmitting payroll/AP direct deposits and print checks.
• Communicate and resolve issues regarding SAGE MAS200.
• Assisting with reviewing payroll for accuracy. Ensure that payroll is distributed appropriately and timely. Review and assist with the payment of payroll taxes and other payroll withholdings. Review quarterly payroll returns and assist with year-end processing.

Base Salary Range: $88,060/year - $130,499/year. This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
