PK-8 Spanish Teacher
Episcopal School of Nashville is seeking a Full-Time Spanish Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic school year. During the August in-service in 2024, all teachers at ESN will receive an intensive three day training in Responsive Classroom. All candidates must be willing to embrace and implement the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful listener, who is able to effectively motivate and teach students of various ages and competencies in a kind, compassionate manner. An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and families, both orally and in writing, is essential. Professionalism, a positive outlook, a good sense of humor, and a student-centered approach to teaching are highly valued. We seek a colleague who enjoys being part of a highly collaborative team, with a commitment to interdisciplinary projects and innovative pedagogy.
A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Spanish or Spanish Education. Experience in curriculum development, at least three years of full-time teaching experience, and a master’s degree are preferred. Comfort and familiarity with the use of relevant technology to enhance learning are also essential.
