Do you have a background as a Medical Front Office Specialist or Admissions Representative and looking to grow and develop your professional career in Ophthalmology? We are seeking applicants for the position of Patient Services Representative II to join our Electives Department Team at our EYE-Q facility in Fresno.We are looking for a candidate who can thrive in a fast paced and busy environment. The ideal candidate would have great interpersonal skills and the ability to develop close relationships with patients and staff. In this position, candidates will perform basic, advanced, and complex administrative procedures.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets patients and visitors (vendors, etc.) in a courteous and professional manner. Direct visitors to their destination.
• Intakes patient requests for forms (DMV, etc.) and medical records requests and directing them to the appropriate staff to complete.
• Covers both the patient check-in and check-out process which consists of: ensuring insurance verification has been completed, collect of copays and balances due, payment posting, acquire estimates and quotes, make return visit appointments, update demographics, and patient confirmation calls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Medical Front Office or Medical Assistant training/certification (preferred)
• 2 years clerical or call center customer service experience in a medical setting
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, Nextgen (preferred)

EDUCATION:

• Six months to one year related experience in customer service and/or technical school training as a Medical Assistant
• High School diploma or General education degree (GED)

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an optical setting. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a full time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate.
