The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Services Department has a vacancy for a Training/Compliance Supervisor.

Essential Tasks

Employee in this position is responsible for but not limited to: providing and continuing education in emergency medical care; planning and coordinating training sessions; managing programs; evaluating patient care; managing compliance with data entry in EHRs including billing and providing auxiliary emergency medical care; develops, coordinates, and implements programs to ensure departmental clinical and documentation standards are met.

Minimum Qualification

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a State of Georgia license for Paramedic and (5) years of experience as a Paramedic, three (3) of which must be with Dougherty County EMS; or have an equivalent related combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Requires a valid Georgia Driver’s License and must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS) and/or Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and/or Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PTLS) Certification. GA EMS Instructor with Paramedic Endorsement, BLS, ACLS, PALS and/or EPC, ITLS and/or PHTLS Instructor Rating must each be fulfilled within two (2) years of appointment.
