Position Title: Safety Ambassador
Reports to: Program Manager for Shelter Operations
FLSA: Full-time (40 hours/week), Non-exempt (hourly) plus benefits
Salary: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Sunday (Set Schedules have the same 2 days off every week)
Shifts Available: Day: 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM; Swing: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM; Graveyard: 10:30 PM- 7:00 AM
Location: Safe Sleeping Shelter (Balboa Park - O Lot)

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Shelter Program Manager and Shelter Program Director, the Safety Ambassador will act as a Liaison for safety needs, becoming the eyes and ears for the property and residents. Safety Ambassadors will actively patrol site on foot, and responding to service requests from site staff. Safety Ambassadors will work directly with emergency response personnel, service providers, and local law enforcement on a daily basis. Safety Ambassadors will also actively engage the community in a positive and productive manner, providing top quality customer service to all visitors and members of the community.
