Who You Are

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong adaptability to changing work environments and is equally comfortable working collaboratively in a team or independently. What You Will Be Doing?

  • Accurately record and categorize revenue and expense transactions in the General Ledger.
  • Conduct month-end closing procedures and record necessary journal entries.
  • Review and maintain the General Ledger, ensuring proper expense classifications and groupings.
  • Process, review, and monitor revenue recognition entries and related reconciliations and reporting.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation and remittance of Sales and Use Tax.
  • Review and process employee expense reports using Abacus, ensuring compliance with the company's Travel and Expense policy.
  • Provide support for monthly variance analysis of department Profit and Loss statements.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes or technologies within the Finance and Accounting function.
  • Undertake any additional accounting tasks as directed by the Controller.

What You Will Bring?

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 years of experience in corporate accounting, with a focus on tasks like Month End Close, Financial Reporting, Revenue, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and various transactional and corporate General Ledger functions.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with various levels of management within the organization.
  • A self-starter with a motivation to drive process improvement.
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Willingness to be onsite at our Plano, TX HQ ~2 days/week. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience in public accounting is also beneficial.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, or experience with a mid-level ERP package, is preferred.
