The Clark County Department of Finance is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as an Employment Records Technician. This position located within the Comptroller’s Office. The Comptroller's Office is the central coordinating financial agency of the County, responsible for both external and internal financial reporting as well as the processing and maintenance of all official accounting records. Duties will include processing and validating employee data in accordance with labor contracts, letters of agreement, applicable laws and/or policies and procedures; communicating with employees and upper-level management regarding policies and procedures and reviewing analyzing large sets of data for irregularities or errors. This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions in the department.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND four (4) years of full-time accounting or financial office clerical experience. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
