Community Loaves is seeking a dedicated and organized person for the role of Volunteer Coordinator within our growing organization. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for specific positions within our organization. This individual will work closely with the founder and other team members to ensure our volunteer baking program runs smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training: Develop and conduct training sessions for volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their roles effectively.
2. Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new volunteers, including orientation sessions and paperwork completion.
3. Recruitment: Actively recruit volunteers through various channels, including social media, community outreach, and volunteer recruitment platforms.
4. Placement: Match volunteers with appropriate positions based on their skills, interests, and availability.
5. Supervision: Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and offering guidance as needed.
6. Communication: Maintain regular communication with volunteers to keep them informed about upcoming opportunities, events, and organizational updates.
7. Documentation: Keep accurate records of volunteer information, including contact details, availability, and volunteer hours.
8. Recognition: Develop and implement strategies to recognize and appreciate the contributions of volunteers, such as volunteer appreciation events or awards programs.

• Prior experience in volunteer management or coordination is required

Time Commitment: This is a 25-30 hour a week paid position. It is not a virtual position; our offices are in Kirkland, Washington. After an initial training period, some work and training sessions could be conducted virtually. In the beginning this position will require being at our offices. Some evening and weekend work is expected.
