Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Social Services to oversee our social services department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing social service programs, ensuring the effective delivery of services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Duties:

• Complete the selection, purchase, maintenance and inventory of all personal effects to include clothing, shoes, personal care items, room decorations, and any other preferred items/activities as an advocate for residents’ financial interests. Adhere to all Accounting policies and procedures.
• Review and coordinate establishment and maintenance of all resident guardian status on an ongoing basis. Coordinate update of all guardian information and reports with guardian and with attorney. Coordinate establishment of guardianship in the event of resident loss of guardian.
• Coordinate all admission and discharge documentation in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
• Review all resident accounts/trust accounts and coordinate management of account balances and coordinate balance management with guardian, bookkeeper and accounting.
• Interface with guardian, find potential guardians, facilitate the process with attorney and assist the guardian with setting up the account. Work with guardian to maintain proper balances throughout the year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor in Social Work degree required from a college or university accredited or approved by the Council on Social Work Education or comparable body.
• Must maintain a safe driving record and hold a current, valid Florida’s driver’s license.
