SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, coordinate the work activities (QC inspection & repair), paperwork, and resources necessary for the cut table and repair area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under supervision

• Operate cut-table to facilitate Quality re-inspect and occasional cut order requests.
• Inspect rolls held for off-quality and either accept or reject the roll based on QC standards criteria.
• Maintain Cut Table reporting to document rolls inspected and the decisions made on acceptance or rejection.
• Escalate quality acceptance decision to QC Management if help is needed to evaluate the roll.
• Assist in helping repair rolls for multiple defects.
• Motivated, Mature, and Professional work attitude. Must follow dress code and have superior work ethics.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Report unsafe activities to supervisor and / or manager and / or Human Resources
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Helps train other employees to accomplish their daily tasks repair and cut table assistance.
• Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly manner.
• Any other duties requested by supervisor or lead.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep repair and cut table area clean and ensure 5S practices are followed.
• Cycle count all the repairs, cut table, and re-inspection locations and report results to Inventory Control Supervisor
• Use controls to operate the unroll cradle
• Use controls (second set) to operate the roll up table and the cutter head.
• While rolling up roll, inspect backing of roll for any defects and process the roll accordingly.
• Make cuts where indicated by cut program and print tickets.
• Tape or wrap roll (2 person team).
• Put original roll back in location by coordinating with the LTO driver.
• Put cut rolls in location that shipping advises
• Use controls to dump roll into floor for pick up.
• Drive and perform lift truck safety inspection checklist when required.
