Bravera Bank has an exciting paid opportunity for a current college/university student! We are looking for an Intern in our Internal Operations Department in Mandan, ND from July 2024 to December 2024.
In your internship, you'll be working with a team and performing a variety of accounting, financial, and clerical duties; including processing ACH and wire transfers, investment portfolio accounting, fed funds and daily settlement entries, reviewing investment reports and daily balancing of the bank accounting system to general ledger. Day to day activities will be under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and the Internal Operations team.
Duties and Responsibilities you'll experience in your internship:

3. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Holdings Corp.
4. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
5. Provide customer service on the phone and in person, answering bookkeeping questions and assisting customers as necessary.
6. Posting, balancing, filing, calculating and other bookkeeping or accounting operations.
7. Perform specific bookkeeping duties as assigned (see attached).
8. Assist other departments of the bank by answering Internal Operations questions and helping with research projects.
9. Responsible to know and follow current bank policies and procedures related to the bookkeeping and operations area.
10. Responsible for promoting the organization in the community through participation in various civic and community events, activities, committees, and organizations.
11. Adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering, and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer

Flexible Internship Schedule:

• This internship offers flexible hours to work around your school schedule between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 30-40 hours per week.
• The internship will run from July 2024 to December 2024.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Currently enrolled in a college-level business, accounting, banking or finance program; preference for a junior or senior.
3. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
4. Experience with customer service.
