Position Summary

We are seeking a US Controller for our Global Headquarters in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC. This is an in-office role reporting to the Global Controller. The US Controller will lead a team of US accounting professionals.

Must have a public and private background and have or be in the process of obtaining your Certified Public Accountant license.

This company is on a rapid growth trajectory and successful candidates will be able to continue to improve processes, be involved in team development, and lead multiple projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP for all US entities.
• Perform accounting research and implement findings to ensure the Company’s US entities are compliant with relevant accounting standards.
• Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives, such as the development of a functional P&L, as assigned by senior management.
• Establish and maintain internal control procedures to ensure accuracy of financial data and effective transaction processing (invoice payment, customer invoicing and collections, etc.)
• Manage the annual, external audit.
• Ensure compliance with US tax laws and regulations, including federal, state and local tax filings.
• Oversee banking relationships and cash management activities.
• Ensure optimal utilization of the ERP system. Provide training and support to staff regarding the use of the Company’s ERP.
• Evaluate, select and implement an expense management system.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and develop team members by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• CPA designation or in the process of obtaining the CPA designation.

Preferred

• Master’s degree 
• Experience with NetSuite
• ERP migration experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. 
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
