BlueSky Resource Solutions is Hiring a Project Manager/Agilist Near Springs, GA

Position Summary

As a Technical Project Manager/Agilist, you will play a critical role in managing a variety of technology operational infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on supporting Delivery Enablement teams interfacing with software development engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project execution, facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes. You will work with cross-functional teams and collaborate with various departments, including Release Engineering, Site Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, Database Engineering, and others as needed. The Successful candidate will be an advocate for Agile values and principles, able to drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team and the organization. This involves regularly evaluating and refining processes, practices, and tools to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Manage technology operational infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. Gather the appropriate team members to ensure the work is prioritized, scope and timelines are agreed upon, and work is right sized to effectively meet project objectives. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively. Identify, communicate, and facilitate the removal of project impediments and blockers. The Project Manager will act as a bridge between the development teams and operations teams, facilitating clear communication and transparency. They help manage expectations, gather feedback, and ensure that the project aligns with business goals.
  • Agile Champion: Deep understanding of Agile Principles and Values. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Weekly Meetings, Daily Stand Ups, Planning Meetings, Reviews, and Retrospectives. Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices. Ensure the health of cards/user stories and features as well as feature and user story writing. Create and maintain project backlogs, user stories, and sprint planning. Maintain frequent communications across operations teams and engineering release train trains. Identify and assess project risks, helping the team proactively address potential issues before they become critical problems. This involves risk mitigation strategies and contingency planning. Assist teams in responding to changing requirements, emerging risks, and unforeseen challenges.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Write and maintain project documentation, including features and user stories. Use tools such as Rally, SharePoint, MS Office products, PowerBI, MS Teams, and Slack to document and communicate project progress. Compile and analyze project metrics, individual, team, and project KPIs. Capture and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for success. Implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and facilitate targeted training sessions. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create customized training programs that address identified skill gaps. Facilitated training where applicable. Stay informed of the latest developments in technology and project management to anticipate changing skill requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree plus up to 2 years of relevant work experience
  • In lieu of a degree, qualified candidates would require 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • PMP, CSM, or similar certifications preferred.
  • Experience in technical project management and Agile Scrum/Kanban.
  • Experience in managing technology infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Scrum ceremonies, training, and facilitation.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools, including Rally, SharePoint, MS Office products, PowerBI, MS Teams, and Slack.
  • Demonstrated experience capturing metrics data and KPIs to determine the success of projects as well as understanding of which KPIs to use based on the needs of the project
  • Understanding and use of the Tuckman Model, Systems Thinking, Little's Law, and a variety of agile charts.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile environment, where a release train structure is in use.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong ability to identify and implement improvement strategies.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous project work and successful outcomes based on objective and subjective data.
