This position is to be a part of the Bristol Marine mechanical team at our Bristol, Rhode Island facility, a busy full-service marina. As an employer Bristol Marine takes pride in cultivating and maintaining a culture dedicated to excellence.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain customers boats as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
• Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of mechanical and specialized systems found on both power and sailboats ranging from 20’ to 125’.
• Display a commitment to consistently delivering quality service and excellent attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with both coworkers and customers.
• Assist in recruiting, mentoring and training less experienced technicians.
• Committed to continuous improvement and willingness to participate in continuing education/training opportunities as they are presented.

Qualified candidates will have:

• A minimum of five years of experience in service within the marine industry
• A high level of proficiency with marine diesel engines
• Background in onboard electrical and plumbing systems is a plus
• Ability to perform fabrication, welding, and soldering tasks
• Strong communication skills and a focus on continued growth
