Job Summary:

ECS Composites is seeking an aspiring engineer to fill an Engineering Intern position. Interns will typically shadow Engineering team members, have unique assignments to support current projects and overall assist the Engineering team with basic engineering tasks related to the design and management of new and existing products. Interns will learn the responsibilities of an effective engineering team under the supervision of our more senior team members.

Here at ECS Composite we hope to pass on knowledge about composites manufacturing and how to navigate aspects of an Engineering Department that school may have only touched upon.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create and maintain Engineering Change Requests (ECR)

· Create and update Bills of Materials utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

· Assist in the creation of both solid models and drawings utilizing Solidworks

· Assist in the implementation of redlines of both solid models and drawings

· Interpret Supplier Controlled Drawings (SCD)

· Fulfill administrative duties as required

· Other tasks as deemed necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

· 0 years of experience in an Engineering environment.

· Training in one or more common engineering CAD programs, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, or Inventor

· Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.

· Basic computer skills.

· Familiarity with Microsoft programs like Word and Excel.

· Critical thinking skills to create solutions to problems.
