AUTOGATE INC is Hiring an Assembler Near Berlin, OH
The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing and packaging gates and gate operators for shipment to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:
- Completely reviews work order
- Obtains gates, gate operators, and accessories from post paint holding area
- Applies sheet metal skins to gate operators
- Applies proper warning labels to gate operators
- Assembles operator accessory boxes
- Measures gates with tape measure and records data on lug dimension sheet
- Applies barrier screens to gates
- Applies proper warning signs to gates
- Performs touchup painting as required on gates and gate operators
- Moves to packaging or packaging holding area
- Measures product with tape measure to determine dimensions of skids and/or crates
- Works directly from product dimensions or verbal directions to create most effective skid or crate design
- Measures and cuts wood to required lengths by use of tape measure and power miter saw
- Uses pneumatic nail gun and hand tools of various sizes and weights to assemble finished skid and crate components
- Packages gate, gate operators, and accessories for shipment
- Maintains good general housekeeping, a clean and safe work environment free of trash and debris
- Follows all safety rules for the Final Assembly Department
- Other duties may be assigned

- Understand the roles of company leadership and AutoGate team members, system resources and processes both intra and inter department positions and duties.
- Utilize the most effective form of communication with employees, managers, co-workers, clients, and vendors
- Understand that daily tasks through long term company vision are interwoven in the AutoGate EOS. Prioritize and re-prioritize tasks in a dynamic fluid environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
