JOB This position will work 1:30p-8:30p Thursdays throughout the Summer (or until the Country Lane Farmer Market ends). Work will be performed at the Country Lane Pantry Farmer's Market (1642 16th St, Barron WI)This position will complete Quest/EBT (food share), Debit, and Credit Card transactions for Farmer’s Market Tokens to provide Farmer’s Market Access. Serve as liaison for vendors turning in tokens for reimbursement. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Provide courteous, helpful customer service. Use electronic point of sale terminal to complete Quest/EBT, Debit and Credit Card transactions. Accurately give farmer’s market tokens for transactions. Accurately count farmer’s market tokens and record on vendor token log. Give accurate vendor receipt. Complete check request forms for vendor reimbursement monthly and at the end of the season. Set up and take down farmer’s market token stand. Provide basic instruction on use of tokens and eligible products. Answer basic vendor and participant questions or serve as liaison to DHHS or UW-Extension staff for additional vendor or participant questions. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION The individual must possess the skills and abilities to: Display competence in the use of modern business machines, including data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, telephone system, scan/fax, etc along with competence in modern office procedures, including input form handling and proper sequencing.Prepare and maintain necessary records and reports and understand and follow oral and written instructions.Perform varied clerical tasks, using Business English and basic math to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Meet and communicate with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds and values.Plan and organize work; set priorities; prepare documents that conform to prescribed format. Demonstrate considerable knowledge of departmental programs, operations, and policy with respect to general functions performed.Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients and vendors.Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.Knowledge of federal regulations regarding eligible and non-eligible food share products. Ability to maintain confidentiality related to personal information of clients. Skilled in attention to detail to ensure accuracy of files/work productivity. Ability to maintain prompt predictable and reliable attendance.
