ASRT Inc. is Hiring a Health Economist Near Atlanta, GA
SCOPE OF WORKThe Health Economist will create analysis plans and perform modeling and econometric data analysis in support of work that assesses the role of local home rule, resource allocation, and the impact of housing instability on prehospital time sensitive emergency cardiovascular care. The Health Economist will identify relevant databases, perform statistical analyses, and provide results, reports or manuscripts.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct modeling studies.
- Perform analyses including modeling and econometric analyses related to assessing multiple factors on prehospital time sensitive emergency cardiovascular for review and approval of the COR care.
- Provide technical and statistical support on economics theory and analysis methods.
- Develop one manuscript or report that summarizes findings.
- Disseminate results of analyses and findings to key partners. Method of dissemination will be determined by the CDC COR depending on the type of information and key audience.
- Maintain written documentation including codebooks with variable names and values for new data sources, annotating statistical programs, summarizing and referencing statistical methods, and results. All work created as part of this contract will be accessible to CDC staff on the CDC computer network as identified by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in economics or a related social science or health discipline and one or more years of experience providing technical and/or statistical support on economics theory and analysis methods required.
- Experience related to heart disease and stroke prevention, or management of chronic conditions is preferred.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills required for teamwork and interaction with people across CDC and with external partners.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in chronic disease prevention and health promotion preferred.
- The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
