AAA South Jersey is Hiring a Retail Sales Associate Near Sewell, NJ
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate. We have positions in Sewell, NJ however, you may be required to fill a shift in any of our locations.
Hours are Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 5:00 pm. This position is an in-office position only.
Primary Objective The Retail Sales Associate supports AAA core business lines, Membership, Travel, Insurance and Financial Services, through providing superior customer service to members and non-members. Key Accountabilities
- Explains, sells, and processes memberships.
- Assist members in making travel plans.
- Promotes and sells AAA products.
- Answers telephones, responds to inquiries and/or routes calls to appropriate personnel.
- Greets visitors, determines purpose of visit, and directs visitors to the proper destination.
- Advises member of auto travel routes, including production of Triptiks; provides maps and tourbooks and makes domestic ground travel reservations.
- Identifies opportunities to cross sell other products, services and promotions offered by AAASJ.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the various attraction tickets and provides details to customers to assist them in making a selection.
- Travels to other branch locations if needed.
- Reconciles cash daily.
- Files, answers phones, and assists with office administration. Requirements:
- Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service focus and skill set.
- Ability to read and interpret maps.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. geography.
- Excellent listening skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to learn the automated systems used by AAASJ.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and initiate work.
- Ability to maintain composure when under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Word.
- Demonstrated ability to cross sell AAA products and services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
