The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator and a high-energy sales and procurement representative with a 5 year track record of successful enterprise level sales in the agricultural industry. Preferred categories include red meats/beef, chicken/poultry, pork, veggies/fruits, or various food items such as flour, dairy, oils, sugar, and pulses. Bringing subject matter and expertise of import and export. Ensuring plans are implemented to achieve the trade goals of volume, revenue, cost control, market share, and contribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS
Create, Maintain and grow relationships with customers, vendors and other business partners.
Be able to meet company goals: new customers, new markets, new products.
Collaborate with internal team to verify and comply with all import and export requirements.
Handle basic issues and problems, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and follow-up.
Complete understanding and knowledge of international trade. Ability to use that knowledge to support company sales growth initiatives.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Strong experience managing activity for all phases of export / import.
Strong account management, spot quoting and account development experience.
Prioritize workloads for self and staff to meet KPI’s
Determined problem solver with the experience to understand, address and resolve issues that arise in day-to-day operations.
Experience working with teams to set objectives and goals.
