Scope:

The Physical Therapy Technician/Receptionist is primarily responsible for patient care assistance and department maintenance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Open and close clinic before and after patient care
• Check VM beginning of day, and throughout the day to relay messages, complete call backs for scheduling, and cancelling patient care appointments as needed
• Reports all questions and concerns to Physical Therapy Manager
• Schedules physical therapy and chiropractic patient care appointments by phone or in person electronically with provision of an appointment card to patient, as needed
• Prepares and organizes documentation materials daily for each provider and returns daily documentation to secure location at end of day.
• Greets patients and informs provider of their arrival
• Sanitizes patient care and reception areas between appointments, or on a scheduled basis, complete with daily cleaning log documentation

Experience & Education Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Previous experience in a Physical Therapy setting is preferred. Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with clinic physicians, clinic patients and their families. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and/or human anatomy.
