Palm Point is currently recruiting for a Director of Clinical Services. The Director of Clinical Services provides direct supervision to all Clinical Services staff.

Oversees the development and implementation of the clinical programs across the continuum of care; develops and revises program descriptions, patient / parent handbooks and oversees the clinical services.

This position is an active member of the senior leadership team. As a member of the management team, the Director of Clinical Services assists in the achievement of organizational objectives regarding patient care, attainment of operational and financial goals and participates in the promotion of services within the community.

The Director ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of department policies and procedures are in compliance with all corporate, JCAHO, federal, state and local regulations.

The Director is expected to maintain a productive, professional relationship with the medical staff, management team and all other departments and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a working director position that reports to the Hospital CEO.

Qualifications

Education : Required : Master's in Social Work with a valid Florida License Clinical Social Work. MUST BE INDEPENDENTLY LICENSED AND HAVE APPROVAL TO PROVIDE CLINICAL SUPERVISION THROUGH APPROPRIATE BOARD.

Licensure : Required LCSW

Experience : The Director of Clinical Services must have a minimum of two years in a leadership position in a health care setting-preferably within Psychiatric Inpatient Services.

5 years of work experience in the Mental Health / Substance Abuse field. Must have knowledge of national / state and industry standards as it relates to the care of the mentally ill / substance abuse field.

Additional Requirements : Ability to work with adolescent and adult populations as demonstrated through educational accomplishment or work experience.

A working knowledge of JCAHO standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Able to work overtime and flexible hours.

SKILLS : Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the clinical staff.

Demonstrates the ability to organize, delegate and role model manage the Clinical Services Team. Must have ability to communicate in both oral and written form and in a clean and concise manner.
