Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Schedule, route, and dispatch trucks for daily order deliveries as well as prioritizing and coordinating daily tasks to meet customer needs in the most efficient and professional manner. 

· Scheduling freight by coordinating the pickup and delivery of hazardous materials.

· Review logs of truck drivers, documenting calls, deliveries, routes, and pickup times.

· Gather information from the customer to enter sales order and prepare schedule and/or answer questions.

· Multi-task in working with the Plant, Drivers, Corporate Transportation, and Customers to achieve all the goals of Pencco, Inc.

· Schedule all maintenance and keep supplies available for drivers.

· Work directly with Pencco’s Maintenance and Asset Manager on all repairs and Maintenance on all trucks and trailers.

· Address customer concerns and inquiries.

Requirements

 Required Skills/Abilities:

· Must have experience in dispatching & routing trucks. Experience dispatching for a HAZMAT is preferred.

· Must have good communication skills.

· Must have Tanker knowledge and 18-wheeler knowledge (Driver experience is not required but a plus)

· Ability to maintain composure in dealing with customers, clients, executives, and staff, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

· Working knowledge of DOT and HAZMAT rules and regulations

· Working knowledge of office administration practices and the ability to use standard office equipment – including a computer, scanner, copiers, fax machine, and phone system.

· Self-motivated and the ability to work independently, determining priorities and managing the workload.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook

· Able to quickly troubleshoot problems.

· Professional appearance and demeanor.

· Must be highly detail-oriented and organized.

· Proficient with technology and possess the capability of learning. 

· DataCor /Chempax Software Knowledge preferred

· Samsara ELD Experience preferred

· Bi-lingual preferred

· Relevant Hazmat Industry experience preferred

· Class A CDL Hazmat Driver experience preferred
