Position Title: Head Archery Instructor (Half Summer Role!)

About Camp Sewataro: Camp Sewataro is a premier summer day camp dedicated to providing an enriching and fun experience for campers through a variety of activities. Our mission is to foster personal growth, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.

Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Archery Instructor to lead our archery program for a 4-week period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group management, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement engaging archery lessons and activities for campers of all skill levels.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by following and enforcing safety protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct daily inspections of archery equipment and the archery range to maintain safety standards.
• Provide individual and group instruction, offering tips and techniques to improve campers' archery skills.
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
• Support and mentor 1 assistant archery instructor.
• Assist with general camp duties and activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate campers of varying ages and skill levels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before the camp session begins). Camp provides a Free training in June!
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized archery organization (e.g., USA Archery Level 1 or higher).
• Previous experience working in a summer camp setting.
• Background in education, physical education, or a related field.
