Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of metal roofing systems, including standing seam, metal shingles, and corrugated metal panels.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions and angles.
- Secure metal panels to wood or metal structures using screws, bolts, or other fastening methods.
- Inspect and evaluate roofing systems for damage or wear, recommending appropriate repair solutions.
- Ensure all installations comply with company standards and local building codes.
- Utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in metal roofing installation.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in metal roofing installation, such as shears, snips, seamers, and hand tools.
- Strong understanding of roofing safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve bending, climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Experience with a variety of metal roofing materials and systems is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Full-Time Exempt
- Salary: $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience. Piece rate work for comp roof installations.
- Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance: Available for purchase by all employees.
- Simple IRA: Available for all employees after 90 days, with Scott's Roofing matching up to 3% of employees' yearly pay.
- Paid Time Off: Accrues at 40 hours per year after 90 days. After the first year, 40 hours are given on the first day of the year. 80 hours after 2 years at the company.
- Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Veterans Day for those who have served our country.
- Unpaid Company Holidays: Friday before Memorial Day, Friday before Labor Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
- Company Truck: Provided with a gas card if the employee has a clean driving record and is shown to responsibly take care of company property.
