*Eligible for $600 sign on bonus!* ($300 after 30 days worked & 100 hours worked, and another $300 at 90 days & 300 hours worked)
About the Company: Aging with Comfort is a non-medical home care agency serving seniors and disabled adults across Pennsylvania. We strive to preserve the independence and quality of life for the individuals we serve, and to offer meaningful work opportunities for those we employ.
We are now hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals in Philadelphia, PA and throughout the state of Pennsylvania to provide person-centered care designed to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is an amazing opportunity for professional growth, while making a difference in the lives of the people that we support! No experience required-we provide training.
Starting pay range is: $15-$18an hour
Shifts Available:
Open Availability
Responsibilities:
· Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities specific to their Individual Support Plan (ISP).
· Support with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, and maintaining personal hygiene.
· Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns to supervisor.
· Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
· Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
· Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely.
· Build a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families.
· Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean and well maintained to provide a safe environment.
· Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
· Ability to establish comfortable and supportive relationships with individuals receiving support.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Satisfactory criminal background check.
· DSP training/certification or willingness to complete the online training.
