Blackwood Associates is Hiring a Senior Project Manager Near New Haven, CT

Blackwood Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for one of our New Haven area construction clients. Senior Project Manager must have 7 years’ experience including an extensive background in projects coming out of the ground.

Responsibilities:

- Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, and consultants.

- Manage project schedule to ensure timely completion of all project milestones.

- Authorize and approve all project purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.

- Oversee financial aspects of contracts including fee payments, rental equipment, and income/expenses.

- Maintain official project log and documentation files using PROCORE.

- Cultivate strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.

- Act as a liaison between the Owner, Architect, Engineer, and Subcontractor to address questions and concerns during construction.

- Collaborate with Project Superintendent to review plans, schedules, and project progress.

- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices at all times.

- Conduct weekly job progress meetings with owners and subcontractors to coordinate project activities.

- Maintain accurate As-Built drawings.

Requirements:

- 7 years of related management experience in the construction industry.

- Proven ability to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and deliver exceptional projects.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues.

- Experience managing commercial projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $75,000,000.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical data, construction drawings, and specifications.

- Strong computer skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
