QualSafe has an immediate need for an experienced construction safety professional in Olathe, Kansas, United States. This job lasts for approximately 8-12 months with a potential extension. Currently 45 hours per week are being worked but will be ramping up as the project ramps up.
Safety Manager will be eligible for full benefits after 60 consecutive days worked.
Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction Safety, and a minimum of three previous employer references.
Individual should be assertive, team oriented, and must have the ability to work with field crews in finding the safest possible way to accomplish tasks.
80%-85% field work vs. office work
Conveyer experience is a must. Also, food and beverage experience a plus as well.
Educate the workers and work together to solve safety issues.
Multiple daily walk inspections, assist in incident reports, JHAs audits, LOTO audits.
Identifying and mitigating site hazards.
Performing, or auditing safety inspections as needed, conducting risk assessments as needed, supporting preventative safety measures/company policies or the GC.
Being able to work well with others and coach during coachable moments, protecting the assets of the company and other duties as needed concerning the safety and well-being of the workforce.
