Heart of Texas Healthcare System is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near McCulloch, TX

Description

JOB SUMMARY:  

Plans, organizes and directs the Human Resources programs and systems. Establishes policies, procedures, and departmental objectives. Supervises departmental personnel and all personnel functions including recruiting, selection, employment, orientation and training, compensation, benefits, counseling, evaluations, discipline, payroll and terminations. This position reports to the CEO of the hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education: Associate degree in business, management, or a related field. Four-year degree preferred. 

B. Personal Job-Related Skills: Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. 

C. Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required. 

D. Experience: Minimum of three years of supervisory or Human Resources experience. 

E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require intermittent walking, sitting, and standing. Some bending, stooping, and reaching is required with the lifting of items up to a weight of 40 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Staffs the hospital with required personnel 

a. Meets with Department Managers to determine staffing needs. 

b. Conducts recruiting programs and screening, interview and selection processes. 

c. Processes new employees into the work force.

B. Develops and maintains personnel policies 

a. Recommends policies to be approved by Administration and establishes procedures to support approved policies.
