Elite Title Company is seeking an Underwriter.

The primary responsibility for this position is to provide underwriting and legal support to the company and its staff. You will be working closely with the Production and Escrow Mangers as well as providing guidance to management to assist in safeguarding the company from claims, losses and other risks. Experience in reviewing title and preparing real estate documents is strongly preferred. Candidate must have outstanding organization skills, high attention to detail, strong customer service skills, problem solving skills, team player attitude, and have a desire to learn and grow.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Underwriting support to escrow and production staff

· Review of surveys, trust, LLC and corporation documents

· Prepare documents required for closing outside the scope of escrow closers, such as escrow agreements, disbursing agreements, deeds, easements and affidavits.

· Provide guidance to escrow and production on clearing of title defects

· Work with management on the resolution of any matters or claims that may arise

· Stay apprised of underwriting, industry, regulatory and statutory changes.

· Perform legal research on special projects as requested.

Requirements:

· Insurance producer license (or be able to obtain within 60 days of employment)

Salary range varies with experience and availability (may be full-time or part-time)
