Job Overview

The Staff Accountant has primary responsibility for processing all customer and supplier accounting documents and maintaining and reconciling the general ledger and necessary supporting schedules. This position will also provide office management support.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including performing account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries, as well as ad-hoc reporting requests.

· Review and reconcile monthly bank activity.

· Manage accounts receivable operations, including processing customer invoicing daily, maintenance of customer profiles, reviewing outstanding accounts receivable for timely collection.

· Manage accounts payable operations, including verifying, coding, and setting up vendor invoices for payment, maintaining vendor files, selection of weekly invoices for payment and completing weekly check run.

· Maintain inventory records and ensure all purchases and sales are properly recorded and proper documentation maintained.

· Perform activities related to job costing including monitoring costing reports and performing variance analysis.

· Assist in annual inventory and financial audits.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications

· 2 year degree in accounting or related field.

· 3 years of accounting experience including experience with inventory and general ledger account reconciliations.

· Strong data entry skills.

· Effective written and oral communication skills.

· Willingness to learn and grow with the position.

· Experience working with ERP system is a plus.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
