Arxada is Hiring a Production/Process Engineer Near Williamsport, PA

The successful Process Engineer must provide expert production/process engineering support to the site for ongoing production operations and new process introductions. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, proposing, and implementing solutions to optimize facility performance. You will also serve as the project engineer responsible for scope, schedule, and cost on small to mid-sized process improvement projects. This position is located at our Williamsport, PA plant and is an onsite position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitor productivity, process yields, and process performance to meet production commitments in an efficient manner.
- Support existing operations by troubleshooting equipment and systems to achieve production goals.
- Determine continuous improvement opportunities and implement process changes, cost studies, economic evaluations, and new process development in the production unit to optimize utilization (throughput, quality, safety, efficiency). Track the implementation of recommendations through resolution.
- Interact with all plant personnel to identify, develop, and manage improvement projects.
- Implement new products or processes into production area of responsibility. Achieve project goals.
- Champion the reliability efforts in assigned areas of responsibility by providing technical assistance in resolving equipment design, operation, and maintenance problems. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
- 3 - 6 years of production or process engineering in a manufacturing environment. Preferably a chemical manufacturer (specialty chemicals, refining or similar industry).
- Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with PLC or DCS based Control systems
