This position is based at our Ontario, California location.

**Responsibilities**

* Place orders per planned order report

* Maintain inventory levels for production

* Evaluate open order report

* Process returns and exchanges

* Maintain a clean and safe work area.

* Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.

The Buyer is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

**Qualifications**

* High School Diploma or GED required

* 3-5 years of purchasing experience

* Proven success in obtaining significant cost savings by negotiating with existing/new suppliers and finding alternatives for electronic components, bare boards, contract manufacturers and MRO supplies

* Ability to engage in planning based on production schedules and forecast/JIT driven requirements

* Capacity to clearly communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management

* Demonstrated time management skills

* Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagrammatic form

* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

* Proficiency in written and spoken English

* APICS or CPIM Certification a plus
