Westminster at Lake Ridge is a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community serving older adults in three levels of service: Independent Living, Assisted Living and a Health Center. Our team of roughly 220 total employees serves a population of over 400 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir. We take pride in the services we provide to residents and pride in our teams.
Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the personnel function within the Westminster at Lake Ridge community in recruiting, hiring, training, handling employee relations and adverse actions. This position is responsible for all required reporting such as the EEOC, Medicaid wage survey, payroll-based journaling. Additional duties include in-service education, compensation administration, compliance and recordkeeping and overseeing payroll within the community. This position has one direct report.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field is required, five to ten years human resources experience with at least three years in a leadership role. Must have experience successfully leading an HR team. SHRM certification preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will model extraordinary leadership skills, employee relations skills, and is a leader in the field of Human Resources. Experience working in a retirement community, or other healthcare setting is strongly desired .
Incumbent should be able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable on current Federal and State employment laws. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications and possess the ability to develop, interpret, and administer policies and procedures.
