Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented test engineer to join our team in Chelmsford, Ma. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in radiation effects testing of various electronic components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an entry-level professional looking to kickstart their career in electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning: Collaborate with senior test engineers, quality engineers, and customers to develop test plans and test cases for a wide range of electronic parts including analog, digital, RF & power components
• Test Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with senior test engineers to develop custom circuits, PCB designs, and software to perform radiation effects tests and automate data acquisition
• Test Execution: Conduct testing of components in various radiation environments including Total Ionizing Dose, Neutron Displacement Damage, Prompt Dose Rate, and Single Event Effects
• Test Reporting: Analyze data and write test reports
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of the engineering process and methodologies, making recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Basic knowledge of electronic test equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.)
• Basic skills in scripting language such as Python or VBA
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 apps
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience with radiation effects testing is preferred but not required; however, the applicant must be comfortable working in radiation areas and with radioactive materials
• Because of the nature of the position, a US citizen is required
