American English College is Hiring an Adult ESL Instructor | in-person Near Industry, CA
American English College (www.aec.edu) - Rowland Heights campus is looking for an in-person ESL Instructor to join our team of educators.
Work closely with smart and fun students from around the world, your mission will be to bring your classroom to life to help students achieve their goals and speak English.
Start date: July 1st and ongoing
Pay: $24/hour for 18 hours of weekly instruction
Class Schedule: The ESL Instructor position start date is April 1st, 2024. 2 hours of paid training will be completed before start.
- Morning block (Monday - Thursday, 9:00AM- 1:30PM)
- Divided into three classes as follows:
- Life Skills (9-10:20)
- Reading and Vocab (10:30-11:50)
- Listening and Speaking (12-1:30)
What we are looking for in an instructor:
- At least 1 year of experience teaching Adult ESL or 2 years teaching EFL overseas
- Background in education or current/graduated student of MA TESOL, CELTA, TESOL, TEFL certificate programs
- Experience writing lesson plans and objectives for daily lessons based on provided materials
- Mindful approach to student needs and level
