Overview:
We are seeking Packaging Operators to join our team. We have positions open on 2nd shift (Monday - Friday) and 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday). The ideal candidate will have experience in packaging operations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate all packing equipment to pack product in proper bags with proper codes and feed from the supply bins. This includes operation of the bin gates, packing scales, bag hangers, sealer, sewing head, palletizers and conveyors.

-Follow Packaging schedule.

-Use of various tools to ensure the line is set up correctly.

-Ensure that the equipment is weighing properly by following the company's established quality assurance procedures.

-Sample all runs in accordance with established procedures.

-Stack feed bags onto pallets.

-Complete and distribute reports as required.

-Operate and verify that metal detection devices are working properly. Perform metal detection verification as prescribed in the HACCP program.

-Keep work area well swept and in a neat and clean manner

-Notify supervisor immediately of problems with incorrect weight, contamination, color variations, etc.

-Perform routine maintenance on the above-mentioned equipment per a pre-established frequency schedule.

-Follow established rules of conduct and maintain compliance with plant and food safety standards at all times.

-Perform other duties, as assigned.

Skills:
-18 years of age
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus
- High school diploma or GED

Working Conditions:

-Indoor/outdoor working conditions

-No heat or air conditioning

-Concrete floors

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to lift 75 pounds repetitively

-8 hours on your feet.
