Teaching positions in the Goleta, Santa Barbara & Carpinteria areas will include a monthly Locality Stipend in addition to the hourly rate of pay ($18.20 - $25.00). If hired with our agency CommUnify, this monthly Locality Stipend is currently doubled between $400 - $700 for the 2024 Summer months (normally $200 - $350 per month).

Our Teachers work in partnership with team teacher to develop weekly lesson plans for preschool children, develops and maintains safe and positive classroom climate, and intentional learning environment; screens and assesses each child using appropriate screening/assessment tools; individualizes educational plans for each child based on ongoing developmental assessments. Engages parents of various cultural backgrounds in their Child’s education.

REQUIREMENTS:

Level I: 12 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development in core course or hold Associate Teacher permit or Child Development Associate permit.

Level II - Associates in ECE/CD or a related field and eligible for a CD Teacher permit or higher.

Level III - Bachelor’s or higher with 12 units of ECE/CD and eligible for a Child Development Master Teacher permit or higher and one year experience as ECE Teacher. Level II/III require 3 semester units in supervised field experience. Experience working with children with disabilities desirable.

Basic computer knowledge. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but may be required for some teaching positions.
