Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Service Development

  • Service & Program Development: Conceive, design, and operationalize consultative service offerings, each with structured and scalable methodology, clearly defined deliverable templates, a service catalog entry, and collateral to enable sales. Focus areas for service and program development will be prioritized by CompuNet’s executive leadership team and may include:
    • Merger & Acquisition Process Development
    • IT Service Management & Change Management Program
    • Data Quality, Governance, and Security (preparing for AI and Automation)
    • Multi-Cloud Architecture Reviews and Roadmaps
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to design services and programs, incorporating diverse perspectives and areas of expertise.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the development of content guidelines and quality standards for service delivery, including statements of work (SOWs), presentation materials, project deliverables, and use of tools and resources.
  • Awareness & Training: Raise awareness across CompuNet of the value, availability, and successful delivery of consulting services. Coach the following roles to:
    • Account Executives – appropriately identify customer prospects and opportunities for consulting services, position the value of a service (or program) with enough detail to initiate a meeting.
    • Architects – speak about the value and purpose of a service (or program), how it aligns to strategic initiatives and business outcomes, and how it informs or is complementary to other CompuNet service offerings.
    • Engineers – act as consultants, effectively and consistently delivering the service (or program) using a matrix management model.
    • Sales Operations – collaborate and establish clear process for internal project set-up, invoicing, compensation, and financial aspects of project (or program) delivery.
  • Service Pipeline & Backlog: Sell projects and program management opportunities, controlling cadence and workload of those trained to deliver consulting service(s). Define the composition of project teams based on the client profile, project phases, consultant availability and experience.
  • Performance Analysis: Measure the health of consulting services and programs, including client satisfaction (ROI), performance analysis, revenue generation and margin, and market impact (stickiness and pull through of additional services).
  • Continuous Improvement & Iteration: Ensure that consulting services and programs meet quality standards and deliver value to clients.

Business Analyst & custom Projects

  • Strategic Conversations: Participate in client conversations aimed at understanding their strategic objectives, initiatives, challenges, and skill gaps. Bring clarity and structure to the way forward, including clearly defined business requirements, criteria for a successful outcome, and actionable steps.
  • Custom Projects: Partner with Architects and Engineers to deliver projects that can only be described as “original work”. Bring together a team of CompuNet employees with the right knowledge and skillset to deliver an engagement that solves for a specific client need.
  • Customer Engagement & Insights: Participate in client relationship building and opportunities to gather direct feedback from CompuNet’s clients, including market visits and road trips, corporate sponsored and market-based events, advisory councils, etc.
  • Market Research: Stay informed of industry trends, applicable best practices and frameworks, technology advancements, and competitive offerings that may impact the continued relevance of CompuNet’s consulting services. Attend industry conferences and other partner supported events, as applicable.

Service Delivery

  • Lead multiple client engagements and project teams to deliver new or existing service offerings.
  • Display effective organization skills, managing multiple and competing priorities and coaching others to improve these skills.
  • Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe.
  • Demonstrate confidence, have executive presence, and an understanding of the expertise required to deliver a service or implement a program.
  • Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from business and technology representatives during work sessions, interviews, and other data/ content gathering formats.
  • Know how and when to apply a framework or set of tools, given the situation, and can explain to a client the tradeoffs and reasons for this choice.
  • Integrate and synthesize information from multiple sources to develop customized deliverables that meet the specific client’s goals, objectives, and desired outcomes.
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when developing communications plans, presenting information, influencing, and connecting with others.
  • Support others in their professional development, delegating tasks, and providing stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results.
  • Uphold CompuNet’s reputation as an industry-leader and trusted advisor to our clients.

Travel Expectations

  • Able to travel at least 25%.

Education & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or IT-related field or 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • An advanced degree, such as an MBA, in a business-related field or equivalent managerial experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as a consultant in the technology industry.
  • Career history demonstrating increased responsibility and accountability.
  • Experience working in a matrix-management model with cross-functional teams, multiple leaders, and dynamic roles.
  • Career experience in a position with billable hours requirements.

Soft Skills & Abilities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to time manage and be self-directed.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.
  • Seek out and embrace opportunities which provide exposure to different situations, people, industries, environments, and perspectives.

An understanding of and experience with basic accounting principles.
