SummaryResearch within Public Records and other dedicated databases to complete a comprehensive title search and cure title issues that may arise from a title search, TSR, Ownership and Encumbrance or other real estate title review product. Adherence to Real Estate Procedures Act (RESPA) guidelines and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) enactments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform title searches using ATIDS and available resources
- Prepare title/closing documents as well as required exhibits with precise attention to detail
- Conduct closing and post-closing functions
- Navigate State and local government websites as applicable research tools/due diligence
- Process requests for appraisal reports and complete appraisal review check-list
- Assist in evaluation of real estate property surveys
- Verify accuracy of the closing package and obtain settlement statement approval
- Track issuance and recording of Mortgage Satisfactions
- Assist with offsite archive and retrieval of prior closing files
- Establish communication with members through & beyond completion transaction
- Emphasis on exceeding member service expectations
- Minimum of 3 years in the mortgage/real estate industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in ATIDS title search and DoubleTime closing programs
- Full knowledge of settlement statement calculations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Windows XP, Word, Excel
- Detail oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in team environment as well as independently when called upon
- Bilingual, English/Spanish highly desirable
- Extensive member contact through written, telephonic and personal interaction
- Cross-Trained to assist the Real Estate Services Department with every department function
