POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technology Program Coordinator role manages the PVI. Inc. Tech Connect, iPhone and other technology classes offered at Little House. This is a part-time position requiring about 10-12 hours per week. Hours can vary depending upon if the Program Coordinator is also going to teach any technology classes.

The role requires the incumbent to manage the planning, scheduling, publicity, enrollment, coordination of volunteers, working with volunteer and staff instructors, possible content creation (or content review) and day to day execution of the technology classes. This position interacts with the PVI, Inc. Program Managers, Development Director, Volunteer Manager, COO, Guest Services staff, Tech program teachers and volunteers.

The following competencies are required in this role:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to communicate with seniors via email, phone and in person.

· Skilled in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel and have access to the apps.

· Plan the scheduling of the Tech Connect and technology classes over the course of 1 year.

· Work with PVI, Inc. marketing team and outside marketing sources to advertise upcoming programs.

· Competent with using Apple devices (iPad, iPhone)

Responsibilities:

· Schedule instructors and volunteers to teach and work in the Tech Connect classes.

· Interviewing prospective volunteers for both classroom helpers and teachers.

· Manage inventory of iPads, making sure enough iPads are available and configured properly.

· Manage the purchase/return iPad program.

· Manage general class supplies for Technology program.

· Manage Tech Connect budget and provide budget planning to Development Director and Program Manager.

· Working with the instructors, provide regular review of content and updates as technology evolves.

· Making sure all training and enrollment materials are printed and ready for the classes prior to the start of the session.

· Generate email and phone communications to prospective enrollees and enrolled students.

· Training of instructors and classroom helpers where required.

· In conjunction with the Program Managers and teachers, planning out new classes and any changes to existing offerings.

· Submitting volunteer hour logs to Volunteer Manager.

Not required but a definite plus:

· Experience with and ability to deliver technology training to classes.

· Experience in creating content for new and existing classes.
